Managing Committee
Dr. Sunita Banerji – President of CHIP Mumbai
As a general practitioner, Dr. Banerji was actively involved in social work for several years, participating in medical camps and the like. But in 2003, after consultation with friend Dr. Mukherji, Dr. Banerji decided to expand these efforts and went on to become the president of CHIP Mumbai. Dr. Banerji has been practicing medicine for 17 years and has opened several acclaimed anti-aging clinics.
Ms. Kunika Sadanand Lall – Secretary Treasurer
The CHIP team is extremely pleased to have on board Ms. Lall, successful actress and social worker with an unwavering commitment to the under privileged. Ms. Lall has also worked closely with the People’s Health Organization on AIDS/HIV issues. Professionally, Ms. Lall has worked in over 100 films and 20 television series and released three pop albums.
Mrs. Anjali Mirchandani – Managing Committee Member
Mrs. Mirchandani is an indispensible member of the CHIP team. She infuses the Chip mission with her endless energy and commitment. A trustee since 2007, Mrs. Mirchandani worked in tourism marketing for over 20 years and is now a professional artist.
Dr. C.S. Mukherji – CHIP Kolkata Representative, Founder Member of CHIP
A founder member of CHIP, Dr. C.S. Mukherji has been working with the underprivileged for the last 10 years, ever since his return to Kolkata after being abroad for over a decade. Dr. Mukherji is a practicing psychiatrist and runs a pain relief centre in Kolkata. He travels abroad frequently to promote CHIP’s work, attending various conferences, and provide consultation to health care companies.
Ms. Nandita Puri
Ms. Nandita Puri, trustee, is a professional writer and has also dabbled in journalism and scriptwriting. She has authored the bestselling short story collection “Nine on Nine.” Apart from writing, she is passionate about social causes and working to bring in a brighter future for everyone.

Novela Corda
Armed with a master’s degree in economics, Novela joined CHIP from internationally reknowned NGO Don Bosco, where she worked as a researcher. During her stint in development, Novela travelled to South Africa, Italy, England, Austria and Bangladesh to research, evaluate and learn about different developmental methods. We are pleased to have her energy and experience in our CHIP team.
Social Work Coordinator
Kiran Javalekar
The man on the ground since the inception of CHIP Mumbai, Kiran Javalekar is our number one field worker. Bhaiya Kiran, as he is known at the school, has a master’s degree in social work and works at the school level with children, the administration, teachers and parents. Kiran’s commitment to his work over the years has been unwavering and is very apparent to any person who sees him at work.
